Vinod Rathod is an Indian playback singer. He was born on 12 September 1962 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is the son of Chaturbhuj Rathod. He has 2 brothers who are Roop Kumar Rathod (Playback singer) and Sharvan Rathod (Music Director). He was married to Poonam Rathod.
Vinod started his music career as a Tabla Player. In 1986, He started singing in qawwali, “Mere Dil Main Hai Andhera”, “Koi Shamma To Jala De”. He has also worked in a TV serial ‘Akash Ganga’ for the song, “Yeh Jeevan Hai Akash Ganga”.
Vinod has sung many hit songs like “Ae Mere Humsafar”, “Kitabein Bahut Si”, “Samajhkar Chand Jisko”, and “Chupana Bhi Nahin Aata”. He lent his voice in many Hindi films like “Devdas”, “Jeet”, and “Traffic Signal”. He gave his voice in popular TV serials like “Shaktiman” and “Aryamaan”.
He has been nominated for the “Filmfare Award” for Best Male Playback Singer In 1993, for the song “Aisi Deewangi” and In 1994, for the song “Nayak Nahin Kahlnayak Hoon Main”.
